Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. seeks a Plant Operator to support production, operate valves and equipment, monitor instrumentation, and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials. You will implement emergency plans, perform routine inspections, and participate in projects and maintenance tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical/operational experience, strong math skills, and good English communication. OT and weekend work may be required in a dynamic facility setting.

Qualificações

• H.S. diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Technical, mechanical, and operations experience desired.
• Good mathematical and analytical skills are required.
• Proficient in written and spoken English with effective communication.
• Willing to work 8-hour day shift with some weekends, overtime, and holidays; or a 12-hour swing shift.
• Must learn DOT shipping regulations and other transportation requirements.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely.
• Must be able to walk up to a 1/4 mile regularly.
• Willing to work overtime and be available for on-call as needed.
• Must know basic computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform all tasks associated with production to make the on-spec product.
• Operate manual valves and equipment during outside operations.
• Read and record local instrumentation.
• Containment, clean-up, packaging, and labeling of Hazardous Waste per regulations.
• Implement Emergency Response Plan and assist in emergencies.
• Routine inspection of vessels and equipment to prevent failures.
• Assist in plant projects including maintenance, turn-around, lockout/tag-out, and confined space entries.
• Work at elevated heights and climb stairs/ladders.
• Perform other duties as deemed by management.
• Work outside in all weather conditions for extended periods.
