Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical, mechanical or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical materials and regulatory documentation.
• Basic math, analytical and chemistry knowledge.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Operate the facility in accordance with Tessenderlo Kerley policies and all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT and state/federal regulations.
• Load and unload trucks and railcars while following safety procedures.
• Read and record local instrumentation data and obtain and analyze product samples to verify quality.
• Perform outside operations, including manual valve and equipment operation.
• Troubleshoot and correct process and equipment irregularities.
• Participate in plant safety programs by attending meetings, reporting hazards and conducting inspections.
• Support hazardous waste management per HAZWOPER training.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work environment and assist with facility projects.
• Implement emergency response procedures and assist in resolving incidents when required.
• Support special assignments and other duties as needed by plant management.
