Job summary

Covia in Thompson, OH is seeking an Operator for our mineral processing plant. You will operate crushers, screeners, dryers, conveyors, and skid steers while following safety rules and keeping equipment in good condition. Potential to operate heavy equipment after one year of experience.

Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent, basic math/reading, and teamwork. Pay ranges from $20 to $26 per hour based on experience, with competitive benefits and 401K.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses.
• Forklift or skid steer experience a plus.
• Willingness to work as many hours as necessary.
• Ability to work in a team and follow supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate crushers, screeners, dryers, conveyors, and skid steers in the plant.
• Follow safety rules and keep equipment in good condition.
• Troubleshoot and fix problems in the plant.
• Assist with bagging/production facility tasks.
• Potential to operate heavy equipment after one year of experience.
