Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of industrial or heavy equipment experience, ideally in open-pit mining, cement, or aggregate processing.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor in all weather conditions, lifting heavy objects and working at heights.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
• Technological minded; able to adapt to equipment and controls.
• Ability to communicate well and work with others.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Record daily production tonnage, mechanical downtime, and material counts.

Columbus Quarry, LLC is looking for an experienced PlantOperator for our plant located in Fortson, GA. This position runsand maintains rock crushing, screening, and washing machinery toproduce aggregate materials.

Role and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently run the fixed machinery used toextract, crush, screen, and wash raw materials like gravel and stone
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks, lubricate machinery,replace worn parts (like screen media or crusher teeth) and adjustsettings to meet product size specifications
• Perform general housekeeping, such as clearing debris fromcatwalks and walk-ways, to maintain a safe working environment
• Strictly adhere to MSHA regulations and Company safety policies/procedures
• Record daily production tonnage, mechanical downtime, andmaterial counts
• Other duties as requested
