Job summary

Columbus Quarry, LLC is looking for an experienced Plant Operator for our plant located in Fortson, GA. This position runs and maintains rock crushing, screening, and washing machinery to produce aggregate materials.

You will perform pre-shift checks, lubricate equipment, replace worn parts, and adjust settings to meet product specifications, while keeping the work area safe. The role requires teamwork, strong problem solving, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial or heavy equipment experience in mining, cement, or aggregate processing.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor in all weather conditions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently run the fixed machinery used to extract, crush, screen and wash raw materials.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks, lubricate machinery, replace worn parts and adjust settings.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment, comply with MSHA rules.
• Record daily production tonnage, downtime and material counts.
• Other duties as requested

Role and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently run the fixed machinery used toextract, crush, screen, and wash raw materials like gravel and stone
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks, lubricate machinery,replace worn parts (like screen media or crusher teeth) and adjustsettings to meet product size specifications
• Perform general housekeeping, such as clearing debris fromcatwalks and walk-ways, to maintain a safe working environment
• Strictly adhere to MSHA regulations and Company safety policies/procedures
• Record daily production tonnage, mechanical downtime, andmaterial counts
• Other duties as requested
