Airgas Davenport, IA is seeking a Plant Operator/Backup Driver (CDL A) to safely handle, fill, load, and transport compressed gas cylinders while building strong customer relationships. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and reliable service in a local/regional network.

Required are a valid CDL A with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements, ability to lift 75 lbs regularly, and compliance with all safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain required endorsements.
• Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain license, medical card and endorsements in good standing.
• Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move heavier loads with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle, fill, load and transport compressed gas cylinders.
• Deliver to local and regional customer locations and Airgas sites.
• Complete required shipping documents and maintain records per DOT/OSHA.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report safety deficiencies.
• Operate pallet jack, forklift and other warehouse equipment as needed.
