Job summary

Airgas, Inc. seeks a Bulk Driver / Backup Plant Operator in Orlando, FL.

This CDL A role involves loading/unloading compressed gas cylinders, delivering to local and regional customers, and cross-training to support plant operations including filling tube trailers, microbulk trucks and helium cylinders. Applicants must possess a valid CDL A with HazMat, pass pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and meet physical requirements.

Qualifications

• CDL A with HazMat endorsement or able to obtain within 60 days from hire date.
• HazMat endorsement is required; candidates without it will not be considered.
• Maintain valid driver's license, medical card and required endorsements.
• Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move over 125 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies.
• Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers.
• Support deliveries in a timely manner and ensure safety of loads.
• Safely secure and unsecure cylinders during transit.
• Complete deliveries on customer properties using a hand cart.
