What You’ll Do:

1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety for yourself and others at all times, in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
2. Plant Operation: Operate plant equipment to regulate the flow of materials, control stockpile inventory, and ensure smooth operation of conveyors, chutes, pumps, and storage bins.
3. Inspect Equipment, Structures, and Material: Perform daily inspections and maintenance, documenting items needing repair or service.
4. Monitor Processes and Materials: Oversee plant equipment systems to ensure continuous flow and maintain product quality. Remove clogs as needed.
5. Document and Record Information: Assist with record keeping, production schedules, and reporting. Read and write delivery tickets, issue tickets to customers.
6. Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment: Support maintenance activities, including greasing, lubricating, and minor repairs.
7. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.

Skills You’ll Need:

• Experience: Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices: Basic understanding of concrete, cement, or construction industry preferred.
• Flexibility: Ability to work overtime, extended hours, and outside in all weather conditions. Tolerance for loud noises.
• Mechanical Skills: Knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
