Job summary

Chord Energy Corporation is seeking a Plant Operator for the Ray Gas Plant in Ray, ND. The role supports processing plant engines, pumps, and separation equipment, with training provided on procedures and safety protocols.

The position offers a 7 days on, 7 days off rotating day and night schedule, with wage and level commensurate with experience. Candidates should be able to perform routine maintenance, monitor gauges, and follow EH&S guidelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor pressure levels, gauges and production flows.
• Perform regular plant maintenance and operations changes.
• Ensure plant is operated and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work with safety department to maintain a safe environment per EH&S guidelines.
• Purge and validate purges of plant systems, piping, and vessels.
• Determine product specification in plant: gas/liquids.
• Review and sign off on procedures; isolate systems as needed.
• Schedule product shipping and assist truck drivers with loading.

Job description

The Plant Operator, operates processing plant engines, pumps, and other related separation equipment. Responsible for loading/unloading plant process and controlling engine compression operations to maintain operating temperatures, flow and pressures. Logs operating information for required records and environmental reporting. Incumbents work under close supervision while receiving training and development on procedures within the facility, operation of plant equipment, maintenance of production or processing equipment, sampling and production logs.

This role will sit at our Ray Gas Plant in Ray, ND. The schedule for this position is 7 days on, 7 days off rotating day and night shifts. Wage and level commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions

• Monitor pressure levels, gauges and production flows
• Perform regular plant maintenance and operations changes
• Ensure plant is operated and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Works with safety department in maintaining a safe environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
• Purge plant systems, piping, and vessels of air or gas
• Validate purges of plant systems, piping, and vessels
• Determine Spec Product in Plant: Gas/Liquids
• Review, Validate, Sign off existing procedures
• Isolate systems, Piping and LOTO
• Schedule Product Shipping, Normal/Upset
• Explain/Troubleshoot Plant Process, Compressors, Pumps, Controllers, BMS Panels
• Switch production tanks when fall
• Take sample bombs and VP on production tanks
• Assist truck drivers with loading issues
• Must understand and perform all duties according to Company standard operating procedures and in compliance within all regulatory and EH&S guidelines
• Complete required H2S training
• All other duties as assigned or based off business need

Minimum Qualifications
