Job summary

Chord Energy, located at the Ray Gas Plant in Ray, ND, seeks a Plant Operator to manage processing plant engines, pumps and separation equipment. You will load/unload plant products and control compressors to maintain temperatures, flow and pressures, while logging data for records and environmental reporting.

The role offers a 7 days on, 7 days off rotating day and night shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least two years of operating

Responsibilities

• Monitor pressure levels, gauges and production flows.
• Perform regular plant maintenance and operations changes.
• Ensure plant is operated and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Purge plant systems, piping, and vessels of air or gas; validate purges.
• Schedule product shipping; manage normal/upset scenarios.
• Explain/troubleshoot plant processes, compressors, pumps, controllers, and BMS panels.
• Assist truck drivers with loading issues.
• Follow SOPs and EH&S guidelines; safety compliance.

Responsible for loading/unloading plant process and controlling engine compression operations to maintain operating temperatures, flow and pressures. Incumbents work under close supervision while receiving training and development on procedures within the facility, operation of plant equipment, maintenance of production or processing equipment, sampling and production logs. This role will sit at our Ray Gas Plant in Ray, ND.
