Position Overview

The Plant Operator will operate and assist in maintenance of plants at our aggregate quarry in Mount Joy, PA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
2. Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK, etc.).
3. Start crushing, screening, conveying and all related equipment.
4. Daily safety check of the plant.
5. Ensure proper size and quality of the product.
6. Maximize production of the product.
7. Maintain crusher settings.
8. Ensure proper size and quality of the product.
9. Proper and safe start up and shut down of plant/dredge.
10. Monitoring operation of plant, making necessary adjustments and maintenance.
11. Responsible for daily production reports.
12. Communicate maintenance needs and turn in maintenance requests daily. Fill out work orders for maintenance required.
13. Keep plant area neat and organized.
14. Check oil levels and grease all equipment on the plant as required. Complete daily and weekly checklists.
15. Verify all equipment is functioning properly.
16. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
2. Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.

Education/Experience

1. High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Computer experience preferred.
