Position Overview

The Plant Operator will operate and assist in maintenance of plants at our aggregate quarry in Annville, PA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
2. Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK, etc.).
3. Start crushing, screening, conveying and all related equipment.
4. Perform daily safety checks of the plant.
5. Ensure proper size and quality of the product.
6. Maximize production of the product.
7. Maintain crusher settings.
8. Proper and safe start-up and shut-down of plant/dredge.
9. Monitor operation of plant, make necessary adjustments and maintenance.
10. Prepare daily production reports.
11. Communicate maintenance needs and submit maintenance requests daily. Fill out work orders for required maintenance.
12. Keep plant area neat and organized.
13. Check oil levels and grease all equipment on the plant as required. Complete daily and weekly checklists.
14. Verify all equipment is functioning properly.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.

Education/Experience

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Computer experience preferred.
