PermaBASE Building Products, LLC in Clinton, Indiana, is looking for a Manufacturing Management Development Program (MMDP) Trainee who will train to become an Assistant Plant Manager. The role supports plant leadership to safeguard safety, quality, cost, and productivity goals.

You will collaborate with management to set production goals, oversee plant operations when needed, and mentor production staff. This development path includes relocation considerations and occasional site travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science (a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years direct manufacturing management experience / supervision leadership in cement products/building materials or similar hard goods.
• Proven ability to build successful work teams and develop people.
• Hands-on management style with strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Plant Manager in all plant management functions.
• Set strategic and production goals with plant management.
• Oversee plant operations in the absence of the APM.
• Ensure safe working environment with training and inspections.
• Support QA and material testing to meet product specs and metrics.
• Assist HR in attracting, hiring, and training new talent.
• Travel to other PermaBASE facilities up to 10% of the time.
