Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a skilled Plant Operator in Texas to monitor and optimize operation and production, ensuring data specifications are met and safety is prioritized.

You will install pumps, motors and valves, run cryogenic systems, collect readings, perform routine maintenance, and complete permits and lockout/tagout procedures. The role requires 12‑hour rotating shifts, weekend work, a valid driver's license, and reliable attendance in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related midstream work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts including day/night, with some weekends/holidays.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with mechanical equipment.
• Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Office).
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor plant operation for quality and production and meet data specifications.</li>
• Install pumps, motors and valves and perform general maintenance when needed.
• Operate cryogenic, stabilizer, amine and glycol systems.
• Collect data readings and monitor plant equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on compressors and install equipment as needed.
• Fill out work permits, lockout/tagout documentation, and participate in tailgate sessions.
• Perform shutdowns/startups and emergency procedures when required.
• Act as relief operator as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
