Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a reliable Plant Operator to monitor and optimize midstream plant operations, including natural gas processing systems and associated equipment. You will perform equipment installation, routine maintenance, and data collection while ensuring safety and compliance with PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.

The role requires 2+ years’ midstream experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work rotating day/night shifts with weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related midstream work experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Ability to respond to call outs and work overtime as needed.
• Strong communication to interface with teams and vendors.
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Solid computer skills including MS Office.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Comfortable working in varying climate and confined spaces.
• Adherence to PPE guidelines and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor plant operation, optimize quality and production to specs.
• Install pumps, motors, valves and perform general maintenance.
• Operate cryogenics, stabilizer, amine and glycol systems.
• Collect data readings and monitor equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance and assist with equipment installations.
• Complete work permits and lockout/tagout documentation.
• Attend tailgate sessions and follow safety procedures.
• Conduct shutdowns/startups and emergency procedures when required.
• Serve as relief operator when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
