Targa Resources is seeking a Plant Operator in New Mexico to monitor, maintain, and operate plant equipment within the facility. The role focuses on operating processes, recording data, and ensuring safety and compliance.
The position offers a 14/14 rotation schedule with travel expenses paid and housing available. The operator will support with surrounding equipment as needed and contribute to cost analysis and process improvements.
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Plant Operator position is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and operating the equipment within the plant boundaries, and may be asked to assist with supporting equipment in the surrounding area.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with company’s driving policy and insurance requirements
Ability to work 12-hour rotating (day/night) shifts and will require some weekends and holidays to be worked.
Must be able to pass pre-employment and annual respirator fit testing.
Regular use of complex machines and equipment; specialized or advanced software programs.
Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors; able to work in a self-directed work team
Must become proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software modules, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Must work with a minimum of supervision and be able to manage their time when given multiple tasks.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective
Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
Regular and reliable attendance is required
