Job summary

Heritage FS, Inc. in Goodland, IN, seeks a Plant Operations Assistant to support daily plant activities, maintenance, and yard duties. You will help keep a clean, safe environment and assist with equipment upkeep as part of a collaborative operations team.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of related maintenance or general labor experience. Lifting up to 60 pounds and occasional weekend hours may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year or more related experience in maintenance/general labor.
• Ability to operate basic equipment such as lawn mowers, skid loaders, and forklifts.
• Demonstrated teamwork, communication, dependability, and safety orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine plant maintenance and assist with repairs on equipment and structures.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and organize materials.
• Maintain facility grounds including mowing, snow removal, sweeping, and yard upkeep.
• Assist with moving equipment, materials, and supplies within the plant.
• Perform general labor tasks including cleaning equipment and work areas to meet standards.
• Support with loading, unloading, and staging materials as needed.
