Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in plant management, with 3+ years in long-term care.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Willingness to travel between Casa facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for safety and performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair MEP systems, including A/C, heating, ventilation and refrigeration.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Install and upgrade equipment and systems.
• Inspect and maintain facility systems and equipment to identify problems.
• Recommend repairs or replacements.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Test safety systems (fire alarms and extinguishers).
• Assist with capital improvement projects.
• Respond to emergencies promptly.

Job description

Position Overview

Casa Healthcare is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Technician to join our team to support six skilled nursing and two assisted living facilities in Lake County Indiana. This position is integral to ensuring our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in long-term care environments and demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as routine equipment utilized in the skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities:

Work in conjunction with the facility-based maintenance personnel to ensure the following

• Monitor the performance and safety of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in the facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration units.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Install and upgrade equipment and systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of the facility systems and equipment to identify potential problems.
• Make recommendations for repairs or replacement of systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Test, install and maintain safety systems, such as fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Assist with assigned capital improvement projects.
• Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience
