Casa Healthcare is seeking a Plant Operations Technician to support six skilled nursing and two assisted living facilities in Lake County, Indiana. The role focuses on maintaining safety, functionality, and aesthetics across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, with strong knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and facility maintenance. Travel between Casa facilities is required to ensure operations meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management, including at least 3 years in a long-term care setting.
• Experience maintaining mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in facilities.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for performance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Install and upgrade equipment and systems.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Test safety systems such as fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Assist with capital improvement projects.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly.
