Job summary

Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Plant Superintendent to assist the Plant Manager in safety, quality, housekeeping and efficiency across production, scheduling and shipping.

The role leads production supervisors, collaborates with customer service, design and sales, and makes production decisions when the plant manager is unavailable. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing and a track record of improving performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production, safety, quality and cost control in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to develop improvement plans and mentor supervisors.
• Proficiency with data management and project costing tools.
• Strong communication and leadership across multiple teams.
• Experience in corrugated packaging industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Lead and coach production, maintenance and shipping teams to meet schedules.
• Coordinate with shipping/scheduling to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Develop improvement plans for operations and cost control.
• Drive inventory management and oversee quality programs.
• Staff, train and mentor supervisors for future roles.
