Qualifications

• 2+ years in Production/Manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience.
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of safety and environmental requirements.
• Ability to interpret HR, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of all employees and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and maintenance policies.
• Lead area goals and performance measures.
• Supervise mill dept staff; manage schedules and training.
• Participate in hiring and orientation.
• Prepare reports and maintain records.
• Drive process improvement and cost reduction.
• Investigate upset conditions and mitigate.
• Work with outside contractors.
• Attend supervisory training.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment.
