Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking an Operations Safety Lead to drive safety initiatives across its production operations. You will identify hazards, ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and promote a culture of safety to keep the workplace accident-free.

The role requires attention to detail, training delivery, and collaboration with management to achieve safety goals. The position offers a base hourly wage with potential premiums and overtime, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including PPE and reporting unsafe acts and conditions.
• Overseeing Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead safety training sessions for employees to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Promote continuous improvement of safety programs across all operational areas.
