Job summary

AZZ Inc. in Rowlett, TX seeks an Operations Manager to lead production and maintenance supervisors, guiding daily manufacturing with a focus on productivity, quality, and a safe, collaborative culture.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will optimize schedules, manage staffing, monitor performance, and address issues at the source to meet customer demands. You will mentor teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate multiple software programs.
• Experience with profit and loss, plant maintenance, and production scheduling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Galvanizing experience (1-2 years) preferred.
• Oracle knowledge preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily manufacturing operations through subordinate supervisors.
• Collaborate with Plant Manager to set short- and long-term goals and policies for manufacturing.
• Review operating results and implement corrective actions; develop tools for forecasting.
• Provide guidance to carry out plans and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Ensure activities comply with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Manage facility schedules and staffing to meet demand.
• Monitor project progress and address warranty, invoicing, and delivery issues.
• Mentor staff to maximize growth potential.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
