Job summary

AZZ Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager for its Hamilton facility in the United States. The role leads production and maintenance supervisors, drives productivity, and supports staff to deliver quality results.

You will foster a strong team culture and address issues at the source to ensure customer satisfaction. Applicants should have strong communication skills, experience with P&L, and familiarity with manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with profit and loss responsibility, plant maintenance, and scheduling production preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 1-2 years of galvanizing experience preferred.
• Prior knowledge of Oracle preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and maintains the daily manufacturing operations through subordinate supervisors.
• Collaborates with the Plant Manager to establish short-term and long-term goals, objectives, plans, and policies for manufacturing.
• Reviews operating results, compares them to objectives, and takes corrective actions; develops tools for forecasting.
• Provides guidance to carry out major plans, standards, and procedures aligned with company goals.
• Ensures activities comply with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Manages facility schedules and staffing to meet demand.
• Monitors project progress and addresses issues related to warranty, invoicing, and delivery.
• Coaches and mentors staff to optimize growth potential.
• Other duties as assigned.
