Job summary

Winsert in South Bend, IN is seeking a Plant Operations Manager to lead the South Bend operations team, manage budgets and capital expenses, and optimize plant efficiency in a CNC-driven shop.

You will implement manufacturing plans, schedules, and safety/quality standards, while collaborating with corporate leadership and HR to recruit, train, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Lean training (6-sigma, Kaizen, JIT) preferred.
• Proven cost improvement and capacity management capability.
• Experience with machining/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead site strategic plan and annual business plan.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership on long-term goals and technology.
• Develop manufacturing plans and schedules to maximize resources.
• Identify procedures to optimize and drive profitability via continuous improvement.
• Ensure production schedules meet forecasted demand.
• Coordinate with HR to recruit and train staff; monitor performance.
• Promote safe manufacturing environment and comply with regulations.
• Coordinate with Quality, Procurement, and Leadership Teams.
