Job summary

JSK Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to own shop floor operations for a 60-person, three-shift team in a precision machining environment. This role requires deep machining knowledge and the ability to drive structure, efficiency, and accountability on the floor, not from a desk.

You will lead from the shop floor, building SOPs and processes while collaborating with department heads and ownership to align operations with business growth goals.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or 10+ years of CNC machining/manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong machining knowledge with tight tolerances.
• 3–10+ years in manufacturing leadership; hands-on shop floor leader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day shop floor operations including job staging, tooling, setup, inventory, and workflow efficiency across all three shifts.
• Oversee and develop operators and department leads across CNC departments.
• Train and develop operators; build documentation and process structure around tribal knowledge.
• Drive shop floor efficiency and implement systems, processes, and floor management tools.
• Collaborate with scheduling to align floor capacity with job routing.
• Ensure quality standards align with ISO requirements and on-time delivery.
• Work cross-functionally with ownership to align operations with business goals.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement on the floor.
