Job summary

Reworld is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Operations team at one of our thermomechanical treatment facilities. This role oversees safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across boiler, turbine, and material handling operations in a power-generating environment.

You will direct five direct reports and partner with the business and supply chain teams to align schedules with customer needs. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of broad plant operations experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience in industrial/power-generation environments.
• Knowledge of environmental permits and safety procedures.
• Understanding of municipal solid waste combustion and materials handling.
• Experience with boiler, turbine, electrical, or mechanical generating operations is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; other supervisory experience may be considered.
• ASME QRO/CFO certification preferred; ability to qualify within six months.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite; relocation assistance available.

• Ensure compliance with permits, operating requirements, safety procedures, and regulations.
• Lead plant operations to optimize boiler and turbine performance.
• Translate strategy into actionable operating and continuous-improvement plans.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for the Operations department.
• Develop resource plans for staffing, performance, and engagement.
• Champion continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma practices.
• Coach and develop employees and strengthen leadership succession.
