Job summary

LyondellBasell is hiring for a leadership role in Bayport Choate Operations. You will guide hourly and salaried teams to meet safety, production, and budget goals while aligning with corporate strategies. The position involves coaching, budget management, and implementing site initiatives.

You will report to the Bayport Choate Site Manager and drive continuous improvement, operating excellence, and strong team collaboration in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years’ experience in progressively more responsible positions in petrochemical or refining process operations. In lieu of a degree, 12 years’ relevant experience in progressively more responsible positions.
• Knowledge of and experience with HSE, operating, maintenance, and engineering processes and procedures, business fundamentals, and shared services role in manufacturing
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a formal leadership role and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to interface with all organizational levels within the company
• A technical or operational background and good computer skills

Responsibilities

• Delivers Leadership to hourly, salaried exempt, and salaried non-exempt employees within Plant Operations.
• Lead unit operations and ensure safe, reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible performance.
• Develop site strategic plans, annual goals, and drive gap-closure efforts.
• Provide leadership, development, and coaching to direct reports and support staff.
• Manage budget and identify capital investments to support safe, reliable operations.
• Lead site initiatives and champion corporate-level strategic goals.
