Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries, a leader in the global chemical industry, seeks a First Line Supervisor to drive daily maintenance activities at our Texas facilities. You will coordinate, direct and manage safe and reliable execution, coaching teams toward world‑class performance and adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

You will collaborate with engineering and site leadership to resolve issues, implement improvements, and manage budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in instrumentation and/or electrical maintenance within the petrochemical industry.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate others with leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Independent decision making skills.
• Willing and able to work 12-hour, 7-day rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Must understand and adhere to strict environmental, health, safety, security and quality policies.
• Must be able to work outside year round under various weather conditions.
• Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct and manage daily activities within area of responsibility.
• Ensure safe, efficient and reliable execution of maintenance and operations.
• Lead by example, set expectations, provide timely performance feedback.
• Monitor performance indicators and participate in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify problems and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site procedures.
• Develop continuous improvement plans based on data and documentation.
• Administer company policies and procedures.
• Establish standards for safety and environmental awareness among staff.
