Job summary

LyondellBasell Bayport Choate Leadership Team is seeking a Manager, Operations to lead unit operations and drive safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance. You will guide the site’s strategic plan, manage budgets, and develop talent across supervisory and support roles.

Responsibilities include staffing, coaching, and ensuring alignment with Global Manufacturing and corporate goals, while implementing initiatives and continuous improvement across the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 12 years’ relevant experience in progressively responsible roles in petrochemical or refining operations.
• Knowledge of HSE, operating, maintenance, and engineering processes.
• Demonstrated leadership in a formal role and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly, salaried exempt and non-exempt employees within Plant Operations.
• Ensure safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible performance.
• Develop site strategic plan and annual goals and drive gap-closure efforts.
