Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Virginia (Lynchburg area) is seeking a Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and build a high-performing team.

You will oversee production, engineering, distribution, and maintenance, manage P&L, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reach cost and quality targets.

Candidates should have 5–7 years of plant management experience in a CPG environment and a relevant Operations/Engineering/Supply Chain degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing policies and complying with regulations.
• Lead the achievement of zero-injury goals and ensure safe working conditions for the team.
• Oversee operations to meet KPI targets for safety, quality, service, and cost.
• Develop and execute programs to boost productivity through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage Plant P&L and supervise production, engineering, and distribution activities.
• Analyze variances in materials and labor and drive cost-reduction strategies.
• Prepare schedules and ensure production and quality meet specifications.
• Control costs and reduce waste through lean initiatives.
• Coach and develop a workforce with two-way communication and engagement.
