Job summary

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a Plant Manager for our Houston, TX facility. This role provides dynamic leadership to corrugated and converting operations, focusing on safety, quality, production, and cost control.

You will drive continuous improvement and manage department supervisors to meet objectives. Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in corrugated manufacturing, strong people leadership, and a track record of improving plant performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years management experience in manufacturing.
• 10 years corrugated manufacturing experience.
• Lean Six Sigma and OSHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant departments through supervisors to ensure safe, efficient daily operations.
• Direct production, warehousing, maintenance, and quality activities per policies.
• Ensure production targets, safety, quality, and cost standards are met.
• Develop plans for material, equipment, labor, and plant capacity utilization.
• Monitor machine performance and take actions to improve performance.
• Review costs, quality, labor, and inventory to fix issues.
• Improve uptime, throughput, and overall plant efficiency.
• Maintain equipment reliability and preventive maintenance with maintenance leadership.
