Job summary

DwyerOmega is seeking a Plant Manager for the Sioux Falls manufacturing facility to lead day-to-day operations across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives, develop talent, and partner with functions to meet business objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, engineering/operations background, and a track record of delivering operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business or related discipline required.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• 3+ years leading a manufacturing operation or major functional area.
• Experience in a low-volume/high-mix manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management for all manufacturing operations at the Sioux Falls facility.
• Foster safety as the highest priority by ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop team members through coaching, performance management, recognition, and development.
• Drive operational excellence by achieving targets for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, and cost.
• Establish clear operational priorities and ensure production schedules meet customer commitments.
• Monitor plant performance via KPIs and implement corrective actions.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, HR, and Finance to resolve challenges.
• Lead workforce planning including staffing, scheduling, training, and succession planning.
• Develop and manage the plant operating budget and control expenses.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and company policies.
• Support new product introductions and capital investment projects.
• Promote employee engagement through regular communication and recognition.
• Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans.
