Job summary

Saunders Midwest LLC is seeking a Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility’s production, shipping, and receiving operations. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while aligning processes with strategic goals and cost efficiency.

The role requires Lean expertise, ERP proficiency, and a proven track record of building high‑performing teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
10+ years of manufacturing and warehouse operations with at least 5 years in a plant/ops management role
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and safety best practices
Proficiency with ERP systems and operational analytics tools
Experience engaging with customers for plant tours, audits, and related activities
Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing teams in a visual management environment

Responsibilities

Oversee all production, shipping, and receiving to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets
Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives
Optimize plant processes and resource utilization to maximize throughput
Monitor daily performance and resolve operational issues
Ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders and manage exceptions
