Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; chemical engineering preferred but other disciplines considered (5+ years acceptable).
• Minimum five years experience in refining or specialty chemicals manufacturing; supervisory experience required.
• Experience administering a collective bargaining agreement is a plus.
• Strong leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with pumps, dryers, ventilators, hydraulics, high‑pressure injection, reactors and related process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Achieve production goals by ensuring safe plant operation at target rates and within parameters.
• Lead engineers to develop operating plans and tasks for operators and front‑line staff.
• Drive standardization across shifts; optimize unit costs; work with maintenance for prompt completion.
• Maintain records, process metrics, and documentation; prepare reports as needed.
• Perform walk-arounds and inspections for housekeeping, safety, and hazard recognition.
