Job summary

New-Indy Containerboard, Laurinburg, NC, seeks an experienced plant executive to direct production, distribution, maintenance, receiving, and supervision across the plant. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency, with responsibility for coordinating departments and optimizing resources.

The candidate will lead production planning, cost review, and inventory programs, while collaborating with sales and customer service to improve profitability and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus college and/or appropriate technical courses.
• Five years experience as a proven manager.
• Ten years corrugated manufacturing experience.
• College degree

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant departments with department supervisors to maintain safety, quality, and efficient production.
• Coordinate production, distribution, and warehousing in accordance with policies, principles, and established procedures.
• Develops and implements plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
• Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant.
• Directs preparation of production, human resources, and labor/costs records.
• Recommends budgets to management and assists management in negotiation of employee contracts.
• Maintains positive working relationship with sales management and customer service management.
• Systematically reviews financial performance of the plant to recommend cost savings and sales growth opportunities.
• Coordinates plant safety, environmental and training activities with Human Resources.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
