Job summary

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to partner with the Plant Director in overseeing daily manufacturing operations. The role leads Production Managers and Supervisors, driving safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance while championing Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM initiatives to enhance productivity and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
7–10+ years in manufacturing/operations with leadership of production teams.
Experience implementing TPM, autonomous maintenance, or equipment reliability programs.
Experience using MES (e.g., Redzone) to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge with a track record of process improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead Operations Managers and Production Supervisors to achieve safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost objectives.
Develop leadership capability through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
Lead production operations to deliver products on time and cost-effectively.
Monitor schedules and adjust resources to meet customer demands.
Drive TPM programs and leverage MES like Redzone to improve visibility and losses.
Deliver KPI reporting and coordinate cross-functional improvements across Maintenance, Engineering, FSQA, and Supply Chain.
