Job summary

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to partner with the Plant Director, overseeing daily manufacturing operations. You will lead Production Supervisors and Operations Managers, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and implement Lean and TPM initiatives to enhance productivity and reliability.

You will champion data-driven decision-making using MES platforms, manage budgets, and develop a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is highly preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing/operations with experience leading production teams.
• Experience leading and developing Operations Managers, Production Managers, Supervisors, or frontline leaders.
• Experience implementing TPM, autonomous maintenance, or equipment reliability programs.
• Experience using MES (e.g., Redzone) to drive performance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct Operations Managers and Production Supervisors to hit safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost targets.
• Develop leadership within the operations team through coaching and succession planning.
• Oversee production to deliver on schedule and cost-efficiency.
• Drive TPM programs including autonomous and preventative maintenance.
• Utilize MES like Redzone to monitor downtime, losses, and efficiency.
