Job summary

Piston Automotive, a key automotive manufacturing leader, seeks an Operations Leader to manage plant activities, drive culture, and meet safety, productivity, and quality goals. You will mentor staff, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure adherence to policies across multiple shifts in a 3‑crew operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• Eight years of experience as an Operations Supervisor, Manager or a related role.
• Eight years of experience in ILVS/JIT/Broadcast environments.
• Eight years of experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts (e.g. Toyota Production System).
• Eight years of leadership experience, independent thinking, and strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Eight years of experience as a change agent.
• Eight years of experience using problem solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, etc.) and ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budgets and cost controls, and coordinates data for product orders.
• Develops operational budgets and drives adherence to performance.
• Drive system adherence, including TS 16949 requirements.
• Creates an environment that encourages active participation of all team members.
• Lead facility in Plant Manager's absence.
• Create/sustain a safe work environment throughout the plant.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing operations plans including program requirements, labor hours, and costs.
• Guides development of manufacturing process plans including personnel, materials, subcontracting, facilities, tooling.
