Job summary

Piston Automotive, part of the Piston Group family, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, develop, and implement assembly processes and tooling for production launches. You will manage capital budgets, work with machining and automation vendors, and create detailed process documentation through SOPs and PFMEA.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration, hands-on problem solving, and a commitment to lean manufacturing principles across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, coordinating and implementing assigned projects.
• Ability to develop and track capital investment budgets for projects.
• Experience with RFQ development and equipment specifications for capital and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead interface with machining, automation and capital equipment vendors.
• Develop production processes documentation through SOP +90 days including PFMEA and work instructions.
• Support engineering changes and plant layout for lean implementations (5S, Kanban, TPM).
