Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Plant Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness within the facility. You will drive implementation of lean manufacturing, schedule adherence, and cross‑functional coordination to achieve performance targets.

Ideal candidates have a strong track record in heavy manufacturing with experience in lean/Six Sigma and the ability to manage large teams while focusing on continuous improvement and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field; will consider equivalent experience.
• Experience leading plant/production teams with cost and safety focus.
• Knowledge of AS400, Excel and MRP systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the plant function and related activities.
• Plans, organizes, and directs manufacturing operations for asset efficiency.
• Coordinates with other departments to align operations.
• Drives cost reduction via manpower, equipment, facilities and capital use.
• Ensures production schedules meet business objectives and quality standards.
• Implements lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintains safety culture and systematic process improvements.
• Develops and communicates performance metrics and accountability.
