Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions in Bloomingdale, IL seeks an accomplished Operations Manager to lead plant operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. You will set expectations, build a high-performing team, and translate business priorities into action.

This hands-on role drives Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S improvements, optimizes throughput, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or production
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes/equipment
• Leadership and team management with focus on development and coaching
• Excellent problem-solving with hands-on approach to operational challenges
• Ability to analyze data to drive plant performance
• Experience with high-volume operations, budgets, P&L, planning, and ERP systems
• Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, 5S, safety, environmental, and quality systems
• ISO-9001 experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily plant operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with goals and customer requirements
• Monitor and improve KPIs: safety, quality, OEE, labor efficiency, throughput, inventory, on-time delivery
• Align production plans with staffing, materials, inventory, shipping, and schedules across functions
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product development and capacity planning
