Job summary

Mission Foods in Hayward, CA seeks a Plant Manager to lead Production, Maintenance and Administration, ensuring GMP compliance and safe operations while meeting cost, efficiency and volume targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing-related fields and 8 years in food/beverage manufacturing with at least 3 years in plant management. Strong leadership, safety culture, and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 8 years of increasing responsibility in a high-speed food/beverage manufacturing or packaging environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a plant management role or equivalent management position.

Responsibilities

  • Directs coordination of all manufacturing departments’ functions to meet objectives.
  • Establishes quality specifications and ensures they are met by plant employees.
  • Promotes plant safety through education and safety programs.
  • Prepares annual manufacturing budget and analyzes costs of plant improvements.
  • Executes projects as directed by Vice-President of Manufacturing.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies (FDA/OSHA/EPA/USDA).
