Job summary

Great Dane LLC is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to protect manufacturing capacity and ensure on‑time delivery with Lean practices. You will drive planning, inbound logistics, and inventory optimization while coordinating with cross‑functional teams to meet quality and performance targets.

The role requires 8–10 years in supply chain/manufacturing, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong leadership and communication skills. Experience with Lean and multi‑plant ERP (JD Edwards) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8–10 years of progressive levels of responsibility within Supply Chain Management and/or Manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Demonstrable leadership capabilities.
• Certified practitioner in CPSM or APICS CPIM/CSCP.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing within a multi‑plant ERP environment (preferably JDE).

Responsibilities

• Achieve operational efficiency through planning, inbound logistics, warehousing, and material movement.
• Develop and sustain processes that expose defects or gaps in Supply Chain activities and drive waste reduction.
• Design and manage plant processes to flow material, including PFEP and inventory replenishment.
• Design and manage cycle count processes to maintain inventory accuracy above 95%.
• Oversee procurement of MRO items with corporate buying team.
• Monitor supplier performance with Category Managers and Quality.
• Provide training to employees on OSHA rules and GD safety policies.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization in all areas owned by Supply Chain.
• Coordinate with ME, Facility, and Operations to optimize material handling and capacity.
• Implement LEAN management philosophies in Supply Chain and use ERP to drive improvements.
