Job summary

Manitou Group is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations in Madison, South Dakota. The role drives safety, quality, and productivity while coordinating strong cross-functional teams to meet customer schedules.

Requires 10+ years in heavy-industrial manufacturing, Lean manufacturing expertise, and experience with budgets and ERP systems. On-site position with travel opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

10+ years managing manufacturing in a heavy-industrial environment.
Strong Lean Manufacturing background including 5S and value stream mapping.
Operational knowledge of production methods (5S, Kanban, ERP) and budgeting.
Proven leadership with multi-function teams and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement policies and systems for safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and cost control.
Manage ISO 9001 compliance and S&OP planning processes.
Coordinate manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
Monitor production and procurement to eliminate delays and meet plans.
Lead production shop floor managers and set SMART team goals.
Recruit qualified staff and promote effective corporate communications.
Oversee Health, Safety and Environmental plans and compliance.
