Job summary

Greif, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Plant Manager to lead manufacturing engineering, production operations, maintenance, planning, quality, and EHS for a single fiber drums facility. You will oversee multiple departments and drive short- to mid-term execution of operational strategy.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant leadership experience in a manufacturing setting. You will manage budgets, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven leadership of a manufacturing facility with safety, quality, productivity, and cost management responsibilities.
• Strong background in managing plant financial performance, budgets, and capital projects.
• Experience leading operations in a unionized environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improves the plant's performance by implementing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques and processes.
• Implements production plans, tracks KPI, responds to delays, and takes corrective actions.
• Creates and implements improvement plans for overall operation.
• Ensures team understands roles and responsibilities and promotes safety.
• Encourages problem solving and staff development.
• Supports Greif mission and values; contributes to overall business.
• Maintains safety observances, ensures guards and safety features work.
• Communicates goals, applies policy, staffs, trains, coaches, and reviews performance.
• Forecasts future production and facility needs; participates in strategic goals.
• Contributes in annual budget preparation.
• Controls expenditures per budget.
• Maintains contact with other departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
