Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC. is seeking an experienced Plant Manager in Springfield, OH to lead all plant operations, drive productivity and ensure regulatory compliance. You will manage staff, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet cost and quality targets.

Responsibilities include setting production priorities, leading audits, and developing teams to achieve KPI goals while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; undergraduate degree preferred.
• 8+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage.
• 2+ years’ management experience and track record of improving quality, safety, service and cost.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant operations across production, QA, maintenance, warehousing, safety and environmental.
• Set production priorities to balance efficiency, cost, safety, and quality.
• Review reports to ensure compliance with specifications, customer requirements and regulations; escalate non-conformities.
• Drive KPI improvements in safety, quality, productivity and finances; foster continuous improvement culture.
• Manage budgets and participate in annual operating plans; provide timely information to finance.
• Lead audits and ensure regulatory compliance with corporate and government standards.
• Coach and develop managers and staff; promote career development and succession planning.
• Communicate goals and coordinate with management to achieve plant/company objectives.
