Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC. is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to direct and coordinate operations across administration, production, quality, maintenance, warehousing and shipping.

You will set priorities, drive safety, quality and cost efficiency, and manage budgets to meet KPI targets. In this role you will lead managers and staff, ensure regulatory compliance including GMPs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through strong coaching and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably food/beverage.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Proven track record of improving quality, safety, service and cost.
• Certification and/or license – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate plant operations across administration, production, processing, packaging, quality, maintenance, warehousing, shipping, purchasing, safety, and environmental.
• Establish production priorities to optimize efficiency while maintaining safety, quality and sanitation.
• Review reports to ensure compliance and identify causes of non-conformity with specifications and regulations.
• Drive KPI performance for safety, quality, productivity and finances; promote continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets including capital and operating expenses and communicate with finance.
• Oversee audits to ensure compliance with GMP and company policies.
• Lead management and staff through recruitment, evaluations, and compensation planning.
• Foster development through mentoring, training, and succession planning.
• Maintain safe working conditions and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Communicate goals and align plant direction with company objectives.
