Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. seeks a Plant Manager to oversee daily operations at our Wisconsin manufacturing facility, driving production, quality, maintenance, sanitation, and safety while meeting customer demand.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and advance continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP, GMP, FDA/USDA) and timely product delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• 5+ years in plant operations management, including production, quality, safety and supply chain oversight.
• Proven track record in regulated food production with HACCP, GMP, SQF, and FDA/USDA knowledge.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in high-speed, high-volume environments.
• Demonstrated success with Lean or Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations including production, maintenance, quality assurance, sanitation, warehousing, and logistics.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety programs and regulatory inspections.
• Oversee production schedules to meet customer orders accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with procurement, quality, and supply chain teams on new products and reformulations.
• Monitor KPIs and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
• Manage raw materials inventory and optimize warehouse space while minimizing waste.
• Develop and manage operating budgets, capital projects, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead and develop plant staff to foster safety, accountability, and performance.
• Prepare reports on plant performance and present recommendations to senior leadership.
