Job summary

Evonik is seeking a Plant Manager for the Mapleton site to oversee the Fatty Acid Plant, DP, HP, Wastewater, and Warehouse operations. You will drive safe, cost-efficient production while meeting customer requirements, supervising engineers, chemists, and production staff, and aligning with EHSQ, maintenance, and HR.

Expect strategic plant leadership and cost control. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, develop KPIs, and manage staffing and training to enhance productivity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent with experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a chemical process plant with supervision responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
• Strategic vision with a 0–5 year outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Fatty Acid Plant (FAP), Wastewater Treatment, Warehouse, Derivatives Plant (DP) and Hydrogen Plant (HP).
• Manage KPIs, costs, and continuous improvement to meet internal/external requirements.
• Coordinate with EHS&Q, Maintenance, Engineering, Capacity, Finance and HR for Mapleton site operations.
• Staffing, development, and retention of production workforce; contribute to senior management decisions.
• Ensure conformance to Food Safety Management System (FSMS) reporting and compliance.
